S’zanne’s work “just can’t help but make you happy!” With bold notes of color and dramatic designs, S’zanne Reynolds fearlessly claims the canvas before her.
Her unstoppable creativity began in early childhood. Raised in Richmond, Virginia, she began a love affair with nature and indigenous peoples that took her on many art journeys exploring the United States and eight European countries.
This Renaissance woman has a background in the liberal arts, fine arts and commercial arts. Today, her rich, expressionistic impressions of landscapes and peoplescapes are found in her oils, pastels and photography, collected in the US and abroad.
S'zanne provides classes for her enthusiastic students, as well as demonstrations and workshops for groups and organizations. An active member in her Austin community, she participates in the Austin Pastel Society, the Creative Arts Society, the Austin Visual Arts Association, and is founder/member of the Creative Community Coop. She accepts commissions and would love to work with you either in person for a portrait, or from photos of your travels or pets.
“I was told when I first moved to Texas in 1987, that I would be “all right now that I was destined to become a Texan.” While I still have to sneak away to the Oregon or Carolina coasts to get my ocean fix, they were right. After 23 years I just haven’t been able to leave…my studio is located in Austin, where I enjoy painting and photographing this large state with the biggest skies and the largest hearts I’ve ever known.”
